RoboCupJunior Bletchley Park Tournament
Posted on Tuesday, January 24 @ 07:39:37 GMT
Topic: Information about RobocupJunior UK
This year's RoboCupJunior Bletchley Park tournament will be held in the Mansion at Bletchley Park on Saturday 25th February. Registration will open at 9.00am and the tournament will commence at 10.00am. Entry to the Mansion will be FREE for participants and spectators. Please note that the rest of Bletchley Park will be closed, owing to building works. As a consequence of the building works, there won't be any refreshments on sale, so all participants and spectators are advised to bring packed lunches and drinks.

The RoboCupJunior UK Finals will be held in the Sports Hall, Cranfield University (Cranfield Campus) on Wednesday 29th March. The best teams at the UK Finals will qualify to represent the UK at RoboCup 2006, which will be held in Bremen, Germany on 14th-18th June (to coincide with the FIFA World Cup).

As usual, there aren't any registration fees for participating in RCJ regional and national events, but teams will be responsible for covering all their own transportation and other costs.

For details of all this term's RCJ UK events, follow the Upcoming Events link at http://rcj.open.ac.uk. Follow the Resources link for the competition rules. We're using last year's RoboDance and RoboSoccer rules, as this year's international rules haven't been finalised yet. There have been some major changes to the RoboRescue rules since last year, which are highlighted in red. The new RoboRescue rules are also available at http://www.robocup2006.org/sixcms/detail.php?id=415%E2%8C%A9=en.

To register for the Bletchley Park tournament, email a.a.green@open.ac.uk stating which competition/s (i.e. RoboDance, RoboRescue and/or RoboSoccer) you wish to enter, your school and team names, and the number of team members.

We look forward to seeing you at Bletchley Park on 25th February!
