RoboCupJunior 2006 UK Finals

More than 40 school and family teams gathered in the sports hall at Cranfield University on 29th March to compete for the honour of representing the UK at the RoboCupJunior world finals in Bremen, Germany in mid June. These were the best teams from a dozen regional tournaments held across the UK earlier this term. 7 teams competed in Secondary RoboDance, 10 in Primary
RoboDance, 11 in RoboRescue and 13 in RoboSoccer. The event was a great success, with 12 teams (4 each in RoboDance, RoboRescue and RoboSoccer) qualifying to represent the UK at RoboCup 2006. Most of the qualifying teams are optimistic about raising the funding needed to get to Germany, so it looks like we'll have the largest-ever UK representation at an international RoboCup event.
