RoboCupJunior 2007 UK Finals

More than 30 school teams gathered in the new sports hall at Belvidere School, Shrewsbury on 28th March to compete for the honour of representing the UK at the RoboCupJunior world finals at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, USA in July. These were the best teams from ten regional tournaments held across the UK earlier this term. 7 teams competed in RoboDance, 15 in RoboRescue and 10 in RoboSoccer. The event was a great success, with 11 teams (4 each in RoboDance and RoboRescue, and 3 in RoboSoccer) qualifying to represent the UK at RoboCup 2007. Several of the qualifying teams are optimistic about raising the funding needed to get to Atlanta, so it looks like we'll have a good UK representation.
