Wednesday, next week, is RoboStuff Taster for NESTA's "idiscover project" at Manchester Creative and Media Academy.
The youngsters will see how commercial interactive toys function, including the HexBug and Go Go Hampster.
They will make a vibrobot, to demonstrate the idea of rapid prototyping/proof of concept.
They will then examine animation mechanisms, sound and light modules.
Hopefully, they will come up with some ideas for their interactive toy, that they will build at the next, all-day, session.
