Previous Events

The majority of RoboFesta-UK events have been held at a local level, although certain competitions may result in national and European finals.

The first RoboFesta-UK event, held in Spring 2001, was the Blue Peter-RoboFesta Robot Design Competition. Attracting over 32, 000 entries, the competition resulted in the selection of four British children who visited RoboFesta Yokohama City in Japan in November 2001.

RoboFesta-UK events in 2004 will typically include several robot competitions, as well artistic performances. Competitions will be held at a range of ability and age levels, from pre-school to post-doctoral research. You can get some idea of the potential range of competitions from the Japanese RoboFesta website (RoboFesta competition rules).
